There are few things more comforting than the aroma and biting in to a soft and fluffy bread. It is no wonder that bread or buns are comfort food for all ages. Herewith is a soft and fluffy garlic bread recipe that will leave you begging for more.

Ingredients :
Bread : 340 g bread flour
15 g sugar
3 g Yeast
35 g Egg
102 g Milk
102 g Water
6 g Salt
50 g Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
Garlic Butter
50 g Salted butter (softened)
1 tbsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Dried parsley
Mix all ingredients for garlic butter and fill in a piping bag.
Instructions : 1. Mix all bread ingredients except butter and mozzarella cheese with a mixer attached with the hook at low speed
2. Add in butter when the batter is well incorporated.
3. Knead at medium speed till the dough becomes non sticky (5-6 mins).
4. Cover the dough with cling film and leave to proof till doubled in size.
5. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and leave to rest, covered for 5 mins.
6. Roll each dough ball into elongated shape (like a log) and leave to rest, covered for 5 mins.
7. Roll each log into long elongated shape of about 25 – 30 cm. Leave the ends pointed.
8. Cross 2 logs at the centre, forming the letter ‘X’. Tuck the top roll under the roll beneath. Press the ends to seal the seams
9. Leave to rest, covered for 15 mins.
10. Egg wash each bread. Pipe the garlic butter on and sprinkle with mozarella cheese.
11. Bake for 12 – 15 mins in a pre heated oven at 200 deg C.
